The Housing Authority of Contra Costa County is engaged in repositioning its entire stock of former public housing properties in North Richmond, CA. Kyanite Partners was hired to help develop ”breakthrough” ideas to develop affordable housing without displacement and provide a just return for former public housing residents.

Kyanite Partners facilitated working sessions and interviewed numerous community and governmental stakeholders to develop a vision for the former public housing sites that prioritized disposition to local non-profit developers. We provided specific guidance and support on community land trusts.

In addition, we provided grant writing support for the winning proposal to the Partnership for the Bay's Future.
